Why this route fits 240-hour transit
Fly from the US into Guangzhou, take the train to Guilin and on to Shenzhen, then leave the mainland at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. Hong Kong counts as a separate region, so this qualifies. The common mistake is entering from Hong Kong and returning to Hong Kong: that is a round trip and does not qualify.
