Do I need a Chinese visa to visit China? +
US citizens are currently eligible for China's 240-hour (10-day) transit visa-free policy in select cities. For longer stays — which most of our trips are — you'll need a standard tourist L-visa, which takes 4–7 business days to obtain. We guide every client through this process with a step-by-step checklist. UK and Canadian citizens now have broader visa-free access.
How does the Stripe payment work? +
After we send your approved itinerary, you pay a 30% deposit via Stripe to lock your dates. The remaining 70% is due 30 days before departure. Stripe handles all card processing — we never see your card details. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover. Installment payment plans available for large groups.
Is China safe for American tourists in 2026? +
China is generally very safe for American tourists — extremely low violent crime, excellent infrastructure, and increasingly welcoming attitude toward Western visitors since China expanded its visa-free program. The main challenges are language barriers and app access (Google/Instagram are blocked). We provide a China-ready SIM card, VPN guidance, and WeChat Pay setup before you arrive so you're never stranded.
